as requested...:)
Took a cow elk with it this year. Still got some more testing to do, but it really is a blast to shoot.

RE: Middleton - On the horizon and starting to rise fast

Yep, I hand build them. I have a machinest friend that makes the metal parts for me to my design and I buy the prod form a company that specializes in medieval crossbows, but the design and wood work is all me. this particular one is 185lbs and shoots a 454gr wooden bolt about 200fps and is accurate to about 70yrds (targets and fieldpoints mind you) but hunting range is more like 25-30yrds max. I am now using a 160gr Magnus 2 blade broadhead and this is a quick slightly quatering away group I did with the broadheads at 22yrds. The one off to the right was all me by the way, it flew right where I pointed it :) course if I pointed it to the right spot it would have been good. Not bad for no sights all were good kill shots.

Very cool! I wish I had the time to do that sort of thing. Wyvern, two questions. Have you ever taken a deer with one of these?
Second question, why do you suppose it is ok to say crap but not bitch (female dog)? Hmmmm?
Bitch(female dog), bitch(female dog), bitch(female dog) hmmmmm

I took a cow elk with it this fall. No shots on a deer yet, but that will change next season.

You lost me on the second question????
I have never been very PC :)
