RE: New products
Holy Smokes Batman!!!!
Looks like TenPoint is ready for a piece of the simple pie too!! Glad to see they are expanding the options and appealing to more. Some guys don't like the compound set up, and some guys dislike the split limb design. This will surly raise a few eye's from all seats in the stands!! From 10ptCrossbowor AKA Randy on the Talkin TenPoint Forum This is the new TenPoint GT Curve. It shoots a 350 grain arrow abot 300 feet per second. Pound for pound and inch per inch, this is the MOST efficient recurve crossbow on the market. The limbs have been co-engineered with Gordan Glass and TenPoint (GT). It weighs in at just over 6.25lbs and has the Powertouch trigger theat comes on all the upper end TenPoint crossbows. Shorter and narrower then the other recurves on the market, this crossbow will give you accuracy, power and is very hunter friendly! ![]() (GTCurve-Pro40-.jpg) |

I think the Vortex is going to have a playmate :D....

RE: New products
Got to admit this looks pretty cool also. Is this the first production CB to have a laminate stock?
From 10ptCrossbowor AKA Randy on the Talkin TenPoint Forum This is the big brother to the Phantom CLS. This bow has the same perfromance as the reuglar Phantom, but comes with Bronze metal parts and a beautiful laminate wood stock. The Xtra comes with al the goodies that the Phantom does. The package also includes an expanded warranty certificate for long term care and upkeep.

RE: New products
Any guess on the Excal?

RE: New products
as soon as the secret limb width comes out, lol, Dnk can start twisting up FFF's for them, lol. Just kidding Randy, but do have a serious question for ya. Why all the secrecy from the various xbow mfgrs this late in the game w/ ATA show so close? Common sense says no company has time to copy or steal ideas, [except the Chinese, apparently, lol] I'd like to know why.

ORIGINAL: awshucks Don, do you know if that stock is ambidexterous or if not, will there be LH available? 10 pt needs to know, lol.[who'se gettin my cabbage] That Excalibur should be one quiet sweet bow. Wooden stocks were always quieter then those synthic stocks. CAn't wait to see the whole bow in my hands and compare it to the Orginal Relayer .......... UMMMMMMMMMMMMMM ....... does that mean that I am in front of DNK for the 25th aniversay bow ........... hehehehehehehehehe Sorry Don lol But I think that they could have not used the Relayer as a name, I kind of liked noone knowing what my bow was lol. As for the bow being left and right handed compitable, it does not look that way from that picture, but, Excalibur has always made their bows so that both right & left handed shooters could use them. I can't see them not doing that for this special bow. BTW, from what I had heard a few years ago :) , this will be a limited bow. too bad as I think that it will be a great selling bow. I hope that they changed their mind on a limited production. |

RE: New products
ORIGINAL: awshucks Tom, more news on the new wood stocked Excal. They are using the Exocet for the bow. The stocks are NOT ambidexterous. However, they are going to offer a LH version.I think the name "Relayer 25" is very appropriate for their 25th anniversdary model. I heard a rumor the price will be around $750 which I'll go for for a 3-D bow as long as they don't try to gouge me for being a leftie, lol. Time for some of you dinosuers to upgrade?:D:D:D BTW, who or what are you calling a dinosuers ............ LOL ............... me or my Relayer. I would love to have the $ to be able to have more then one bow, then I would just take the orginal out once in a while. but naaaaaa ......... money is better spent on food .......... hehehehe .... I need to eat ya know. |
RE: New products
Hey Guys. Might as well get my left-handed 2 cents worth in. I'm a southpaw, too.

RE: New products
I believe there will only be 1,000 made at a price of over $800.00. Dan, it looks like it will be ambidextrous in the picture, do you see something I don't?

The gloves are off!:D

RE: New products
ORIGINAL: Pydpiper The gloves are off!:D I might make it to the the 50th in that liine, even though I fet those linits real good. BTW, I doubt very much that Bill will number these crossbows, so the 1000 bow will be the same as number 1. The reason is, Bill has always stated he would not put serial numbers on the bow because since his bows did not have serial number, they were excluded from the regestry (Canadian gun registry). Numbering these bows would be like putting up a serial number on them and he has stated that he would never do that. Oh Well ..... can only dream to own one of them. |
RE: New products
I have a Daco, that has to count for something..
I had my heart set on something silver, hell, even I could make a wood one..;) |
RE: New products
ORIGINAL: Pydpiper I have a Daco, that has to count for something.. I had my heart set on something silver, hell, even I could make a wood one..;) shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!!!!!!! I would not want to say that toooooooo loud LOL . They are an OK bow, but what do you think of their trigger/safety setup. They did have a PRETTY BOW, but a 12lb trigger and terrible method needed to shoot (have to hold in safety button while pulling trigger) reduced it's accuracy alot. It was still pretty good for accuracy, but did not compare to the Excalibur when they came out. BTW .... my brother still hunts with one, Astro Daco Scropin (150lb) but has had the trigger/saftey reworked to be more like a real gun. |
RE: New products
LOL, good point Tom, Bill T hates numbers. Think you are right about all 1000 of them being the same.I just want a LH, Excal, 25th anniversary issue, and an Exocet to boot!! I was needing a good excuse to buy an Ecet and as some Canucks say, Voila!! lol. ps: Dnk, they are only gonna be about $750 here in the land of the, well nevermind, lol.
