crossbow string
 
Ok I have this el-cheapy cross-bow and the string is kinda in sad shape , bought this thing for like $10 bucks for goofin around with any ideas on where to get a new sting?

not even sure I have seen them in catalogs for like $100 (sportsmans guide,cheaper then dirt, etc.)

You have not provided enough info to get assistance. What kind of bow? Compound or recurve? What is the distance between the points where the bowstring seats when bow is unstrung? etc. I'm guessing you're going to have to make one. In order to do that you'll need to how. Check out making bowstring and making flemish string or the like.

However, IF it's a compound, and IF it has solid limbs, and IF you could just reserve the string, you can make a gizmo like in pic and do it yourself. Kudos to Matthias 72 from the Italian site for the pic, btw.

Any bow monkey can make you one, but it's gonna cost ya if it's an oddball size. Sometimes good deals ain't, lol.
