attractants ?

Has anyone ever used the new iteam Buck Bomb and if they have, is it any good (is it worth the money) and would they recomend it.

HOw is it used. Is it a one time useage, scent dispersed all at once or does the scent stay for a longer time. I have heard different people talk about it, but I have never seen it or do I know anything about it.

Any info would be great ............... Tks Tom

RE: attractants ?

I shot two deer last year with them and wounded but failed to recover a nice buck. This year I have shot two doe and two buck over them and also wounded a third buck never recovered.I really don't make a habit out of wounding.

The buck I dumped 11/8/07 was five yards from the bomb I had placed at 20 yards. I have been using thedoe in heat kind but even the does are walking right up to them. It's actually creepy how well they have worked for me.

RE: attractants ?

I find them inconsistant Tom. I hear some guys swear by Code Blue and James Valley but I've never found these two to work. Mostly I've used them on drags. Two things I haven't tried yet is using them over a mock scrape and the Buck Bomb. The most consistant attractant I've used is the rattle bag.
I've tried them close to bait near a well used trail. If anyone has a method that is consistant I am listening.

RE: attractants ?

I agree that most attractants are incinsistant. A few years ago I was part of an attractant test (with trail cams) North American wide and I learned alot. I believe that most attractants only work because it is a different smell and deer are an inquestive animal, so they come to check it out, but then after a while, they are not longer interested. I will no longer use the same attractant for any length of time, I will change them up.

What is interesting to me is this new Buck Bomb attractant, but I would like to get some on hand experance with it. It is suspose to cover a larger area and be very fast acting.
