Redemption! 9 point down! @ 7 yds.
sunday I posted after hitting a monster 12 low. I tracked that night, knew he wasnt hit good so left him overnight. went back the next day, picked up the trail and the blood just stopped. followed tracks for over a hundered yards before losing. no deer.
scouted a new spot on wed morn. found some good buck sign, fresh scrapes and rubs. hung a permanent stand. hunted friday afternoon saw a nice buck come in about 35-40 yards away. he checked the scrape. went back this morning at 10am, took my climber. set up right over the scrape. at 12:04 this 9 point came in. shot him at 7 yds! he ran about 100 yards downhill crossed a creekbed, climbed about 15 yards and piled up. not much blood, took about an hr. to track.

Looks like the kids have a happy father. Good that you include the future hunters in the pic.Keep up the good work. Shoot straight, stay safe >>>
P.S.
I can't even focus at 7 yds <<<<<

congrats on a nice fat wide buck. My 14 year old daughter will go out with me but the boy is to busy and says it's silly to be in the woods when you can be in bed.. One out of two is not bad.
