They look great, but I think the Excal lumizone is cheaper, not sure though. But if ya give it a try I think you would be our first to do so.

I had a cheap Simmons red dot onmy Horton Supermag once, at least I think it was a Simmons, could be wrong. But it also had drifting issues from time to time to.

RE: The New TruGlo Illuminated Scope
Simmons- it's not rugged enough for the beating a crossbow dishes out. Spend a few $ more. Buy one with a xbow manufacturers name on it.

RE: The New TruGlo Illuminated Scope
I have never had one! I know 2 guys that have them at 3-D shoot. One guy has had lots of trouble and got rid of his. The other keeps sending his in to be repaired. Not what i call a great track record.

RE: The New TruGlo Illuminated Scope
I have had one for a couple of months I have it on a Parker 150lb. it gathers some light and the illumination works but when I turned it on last night after hunting I noticed moister inside the scope after a short period of time it mostly went away it hasn't been out in the rain so I will be keeping an eye Ha on it I will say this it's almost impossible to get in touch with anyone at the distributorship in Texas they seem to have had problems with all these chinese scopes no matter which one you buy the Tru Glo is bumping 200 bucks is it worth it service and quality wise I don't think so as in all optics you get what you pay for I thought 200 was a lot for a crossbow scope I guess there are some really top of the line scopes out there if you want to pay the price

RE: The New TruGlo Illuminated Scope
My opinion is fer $130 Lumizone is much more reasonable and they replace them with a new one if you have trouble. They all seem to have trouble. Never had any trouble out of my rifle scope on Phoenix.:)I am fixing to put it on Miss Vixen cause its much better in low light than the 4x on her now.

RE: The New TruGlo Illuminated Scope
I swapped scopes yesterday. Took the Elite off of Miss Phoenix and put it on Miss Vixen. Have it sighted in at 20 yds. Started shooting and using bottom post with power ring at 6x, at 30yds. arrow was 7" low. Set on 3x it hit 2" low at 30 yds. Set at 2x its 1 1/2" low and at 1.5x it hits dead on at 30 yds.

RE: The New TruGlo Illuminated Scope
ORIGINAL: kvjohndeere I missed A GreyFox tonight at 18 yards I shot underneath of him ! I hope Athe Arc Helps me out Im used to shooting from a ground Blind ! I got to get my My act together ! You Figure A Marine Sharpshhooter Would be able to shoot better I got A string of Bad luck this year ! I boresighted My Bow in Wednesday I shot dead on at 20 yards first shot at 4.5 power I could nt tell any differences at other power levels ! Any suggestions of shooting elkevated ! Thanks smokepolehall Aim exactly where you would if you were on level ground. The elevation will make very little difference in POI (Point Of Impact). You hear about this mostly when shooting a compound bow because the downward angle can mess up your shooting form and cause the shot to be way off. That’s why when shooting a compound bow it is very important to bend at the waist. This does not apply to shooting a crossbow. If you can, take some practice shots from an elevated platform and see. Also, if you are shooting fixed blade broadheads, they can (and likely do) shoot different than field points. The very first set of broadheads I ever shot out of my crossbow hit in front of the target at 20 yards. It was a major wakeup for me. |
