I sold my parker a little while ago to get a new regular bow but now I want another crossbow. I'm gonna order a phoenix on monday. Anything I need to know about it thats not in the manual?

I can think of one thing. Do you guys wax the serving after every shot? I saw that on the excal website.

No i wax the string well and can use piece of leather rubbing wax get it hot andall in string. I use maxi-lube on rails. Its a T/C product fer lubing bullets.

you may want to re-read whatever that leads you to believe Excals guys wax every shot. Nobody I know does this and there are some that don't wax at all and have no problems.

I went back and watched it again (video on excal site) and it says every shot. Seems a little extreme.
