OLD DOG, NEW TRICKS

Well I brought home my 1st xbow yesterday and was very
impressed. I've been shooting long bows, recurves and compounds
for 60 years. Due to injuring my left shoulder 2 months ago, I felt
I wouldn't be able to do it with compound this year. The freezer
is getting low on venison. I feel after reading this forum, that if
I do have any problems with the xbow I will getthesolution here.
Glad to be aboard.

Ask before you start buying stuff (like I didn't). It will save you a ton of $. No such thing as dumb questions here.

Planter, We have a Parker Terminator hp 175. I know a lot of the guys
have excals. but this xbow is all and maybe more than I'll ever need.
It'll do the job.

Believe it or not, we don't care whose name is on the bow, they are all good. We joke and kid around here alot, but welcome the info from all the brands out there. The world record xbow buck was taken w/ an older model Horton.

Thanks for the great welcome. Waiting for the xbow broadhead target
to come so I can check broad head flight. Don't expect any problems.

Welcome. Nothin wrong with a Parker. I shoot a Terminator as my tree stand bow. Nice compact outfit, very reliable and quite accurate. Also shoot a Excal Vortex, just to see what all the Excalibur chatter is all about. Good bow too. I switch back and forth depending on how much room I have to work from. Excal is very accurate but bigger overall. Both good companies with great customer service.

Sorry I missed this thread and welcome. We need more Parker guys in here to give feed back on them. Yes lots of us Excal guys in here, but I like my two Horton's also. Some will joke, but we all like to help.
