Here is a pic of the states that allow CB hunting. It is a few years old. Green is for good, red is for retarded! Some more states have opened up since this pic was made. I think North Carolina is open now along with Kentucky. New Jersey is in the works for '08 and IL just decided to be nice to their seniors this year. I think there may be one or so i missed but that is the majority of the states that have hunters working together and not hunter against other hunters!

Good info Hotburn76. If disabled people would file suits against states then said states will get up off their duff and Cb's will come into use quicker. Just a matter of getting the ball rolling.

IIRC, the only two states left w/ no disabled provisions are Oregon and New York. New York does allow breath tube triggers and you can't have any functional fingers.

Illinois just enacted a law that will allow those of us age 62 or over to use a crossbow during bow season, regular gun season and muzzleloader season.

No, no matter what azzhat reply he gives you Dnk,the poaching statistics do not support that kind of behavior.

what i said is TRUTH,
also most of crossbows i see used by the disabled seniors is usually on privateland, very few hunt on publicland,i think thats because they have permanet treestands built there...

as for young disabled, most ROAD HUNT,some dont, but most i see never get out of truck or car..

i hunt grouse A LOT,like 5 days a week,i hunt along roads and ditchs etc..

so, yes, i see a lot because i can look right in front seat of every vehicle that comes by..

many young people are faking the disabled thing to get permit BUT now employeers are finding this out and sending the person for physical or asking why they did not report it that they are DISABLED..

so, lawsuits may be lost at work do to employee having a disabled permit...

i get a kick out of the welfare types hunting from road, crossbows cocked, ready to fire out the car window..
i sit in my stand in archery and see car after car with a crossbow cocked riding roads, cigarette smoke coming out window, loud exhaust, hand on trigger, ready to go..

in fact, i see more road hunting now than i ever saw in my life in archery,CROSSBOWS have caused that, for sure.....

So exactly how tall are you? You must be pretty tall to look into a truck or car so see right into the front seat or are you in a taller vehicle while hunting the roads?

No can do in NY unless you are severely disabled. Plus it must be a mouth release. Our new Gov. seems to be in favor of crossbows so I expect the law to change sometime soon.

Thats a total bummer! Sounds like your area is FULL of a bunch of low life's! I am glad the rest of the country does not suck as much as yours! You describe your area as a cesspool for the hunting community, glad I am not a part of such a troubled area. Its a shame that the pillars, DCNRand even the women of your area are worthless low life's! How are you able to live and hunt in such a low life area?

I see I should have done what Don did. You "decided" that your attempt to black eye the rest of the CB world you made your own community look like trash! You may have edited your post but we all know what you called the people of your own state and area! Sorry you had to edit your post after you realized how bad you made your own people look!

Just for the record you said the...

DCNR, Pillars, Women, And fellow hunters where poaching low life's. Them four categories pretty much sums up everyone in your area.

Right Sproule, like a mod will come here and tell someone that they are off topic! Right! LOL! How about being talked to about WHAT topic?
Sproule, we've acutally seen you contribute rather than point, accuse and bait. You are liked when you contribute but repell when you destroy. You even treat us like were stupid. Don't you get it? Being part of a community means you contribute to get ahead together.

Yes, my mistake for helping you much earlier. Sproule, you were not told to say on topic you were told what not to say. No one, mods included would have a problem if we started to talk about shoes on this thread. You saying that you were told to "stay on topic" is treating us like we'd believe you otherwise known as treating us like we're stupid.

RE: what states allow crossbow hunting?

He must be one of them people that either fake it or likes to play both sides of the fence as we have seen on here. Remember his post about using the slicks the other day on his "ceder" arrows? And them ceder arrow scan only come out of one thing, his recurve. So why is it then you use a CB if you can still use a recurve? Must be a faker! He sure shoots his recurve alot for having a Doc's excuse for a CB?

Here it is copy and pasted....

i used slick tricks today on my cedar arrows, they did fly real nice..
also they fly great out of my crossbow..
i also like the NAP broadheads and ZWICKEY..
