Fletching jigs
 

Looking at some fletching jigs to redo my arrows since they are wave pattern.

I like the Bitz, and the Bohning, AZ one looks annoying to use.

For doing the fletchings for an Xbow would it be best to use a straight or a right helical? I can see where straight would be best for going down the deck of your xbow, but the Horton Lighting Strikes arrows I bought were fletched right. Not to say that was correct to start with also..

Just curious is most people shot straight or right?

I use the AZ-EZ for alumin, rt hand helical which is 8 degree. Works fine for either 2" Blazer or 4" vanes, nothing annoying about it in my book. The AZ-EZ for carbons won't work on xbow size carbons, too small of a diameter. I don't know anything about the other two. There's a 4 part video on Excal forum on the AZ-EZ and how to use it.

The AZ-EZ is just that... EZ! It may look like a spider on steroids in the picture, but it is simple to use, place the vanes in and spread glue and pull it up to shut and your done! I also bought a Jo-Jan, and only did so because I wanted to try the nap quick spins, it is easy to use, but it is only one at a time! Also, you need to have some off set or a helical if you plan on shooting B-Heads, I may be wrong, but I do not think there is any head thatflies great with 100% straight vanes, almost all have some offset, 100% straight only works with field tips. Have never tried 100% straight my self, just what I have been told from the old wise men on the corner! LOL!!

I have the Bitz, the Bohning, an old Arizona and a Martin. The Bitz is the one I use the most. They all do a great job.
I see no real difference between an offset and a heilical fletch. I would not use a straight fletch if you intend to use broadheads.
