Excal and Easton..
I heard that Excal is gonna push Easton arrows instead of Gold Tip. Won't make any difference to me as I already chuck the Easton Power Bolts cause that is all my bow monkey has in stock.. The other local monkey sells a couple of Excal bows but only carries Horton nocked arrows. Youse guys advised against nocked or half moon referring to a dry fire effect which does make sense..>>>>Whack!
Fire Bolt or Power Bolt??? wonder if there is a weight diff.... |

RE: Excal and Easton..
Planter, I shoot the Beaman Thunderbolts topped with a 125g field point I weighed the Thunderbolts and they were all 3326g to 328g (arrow only) so I am pretty happy with the consistancy of the factory weights. But the F.O.C. is a little lower than I expected: 10.2% for field tips and 9.76% with the Slick Trick using the calculator at: http://home.att.net/~sajackson/archery9.html That being said they shoot extremely well. Off of a monopod I can consistantly shoot sub 2" groups at 40 yards. The group opens up offhand of course, but thats me not the arrow. And at $50.00 for a dozen you can't beat the price. Bob |
