Bohning Blazer fletching
 

I'm making some bolts with 2216 xx75 shafts I have.These will be for 100 grain broadheads. Someone has recommended the 2" Bohning Blazer fletching. Anyone have an opinion or experience with them. What offset should be used. I was going with a 4" Plastifletch with 4 degree offset.

I would be surprised if you notice a difference.. I tried lots and still ended up with the 4"

I picked up enough fast spinsto do three bolts today at archery shop. If they group OK at 20 yds, good enough for me. It was afellow at Arizona ez fletch toolthat recommended them to me. This is my first cross-bow, a low priced Eagle, 180#Taiwan made steel limb job, but it's accuracy and light trigger pullsurprised me, even with the whimpy bolts it came with. What I like is the fact it's limbs fold back, and it is short overall, so I can stick it in a day pack.

I have seen that crossbow before, let us know how you make out with it..
The Quick Spins are an interesting vane, I tried them once and found them to work great, just very expensive. I wouldn't think you could use them in the Arizona EZ fletcher (A few of us use that too).

All i use is the 2" Blazers with helical fletch.[8D]

Very confusing, as the archery shop evidently gave me instructions for New Archery Quik Spins, with the lot of Blazer vanes they gave me.

On Blazer site, they recommend helical or 2-3 degrees of offset.

MY EZ Fletch has 8 degree helical, 4 degree offset or 1 degree offset options. The NAP Quick Spins appear to have a thickened trailing edge that would not fit in an EZ fletch arm's narrow slot,but the Blazer slides right in. My EZ Fletch was originally ordered with 8 degree right helical for my recurve bow. So, I've ordered the 4 degree offset for these Blazers, as it seemed the closest to their recommendation.

180pilot, you don't have to order the 4 degree offset. Blazers of 2" handle up to 11 degrees of helical with no problem. Just 2" not 4 or 5. You will barely notice 8 degrees.[:-]

Ditto's on Smokes post. My AZ E-Z is rt hand helical [8 deg] and you can't see much diff if any in factory fletched. All of them fly the same for me.

new to crossbows but have hunted and know difference when i see something work..
i had 4 inch vanes on,shot them for months..
went to our range club, had bill put 2 inch blazer vanes on..

a BIG difference i noticed,much better than 4 inch...

its real deadly now, i have to shoot at different targets or i will hit a arrow...
