Horton cocker modification

When I use my Horton cocking aid the small hooks that attach to the string causes the serving to seperate. I went to Lowes and bought 1/2 conduit straps, made a "J" hook out of them instead of the "P" shape and attached those to the snap hooks already in place. The slighty over 1/2" flat surface of the conduit strap does not seperate the serving and works great.

Beer:30,

I have an Excalibur, not a Horton, but I am thinking that the serving is the problem and the serving needs to be reserved.

A friend has a Xcal ... it is a better design than the Horton.
I think I have overcame the design flaws of the Horton.
