fletching contact

I am new to these things having only shot a compound for the last 9 years but have some issues. I have lots of fletching contact, the vanes have areas where lots of rubbing is going on. mainly the cock vane. I know that I used feathers years back before the drop away rest came around for regular bows but can feathers handle a bow that is supposed to shoot 340fps? I have a Fred bear F-340. Thanks FDM

RE: fletching contact

Yup feathers are good, in fact very popular with some guys. I think you may find that in short/practical ranges you may get increased accuracy but for longer range target shooting your accuracy potential will not be met.
