Texas HB1334 Clears Committee
HB1334 will allow persons over age 65 to use crossbows during archery season with no restrictions. Out of House committee, but it hasn't been scheduled to hit the floor yet. Lone Star Bowhunters Association is lined up to fight it, but I don't think they've got the political pull any more to do anything.
Really kind of dumb not just approving it for all, since anyone can already use a bow equipped with a drawlock device here.
Edit: By the way, I have e-mailed Rep Mark Homer thanking him for his authorship of the Bill and also sent an e-mail to my districtict's Rep asking for her vote. I also pointed out my thoughts about keeping crossbows out while allowingthe draw-lock device.

Good luck! The tide is rising and soon the discrimination will stop. I wish I had stats on how long it took the compound to be accepted and what order the states where in allowing them. Where they ever not allowed in certain states from the beginning?
