I had sent my bow in for the upgraded limbs and they sent it back pretty quick, about week to week in a half

OUCH!!!! sorry to hear that happened....i've had no trouble with my Quad400 yet....i'm in the process of changing the cables and string...i'm seriously thinking about getting rid of it....and getting something else after hearing these horror stories for the past year....Honkers

My Quad 400 has had it's share of quality control problems. Upon receiving it i found out that the flipper that holds the string cocked was mounted backwards. The scope reticle fell apart after a few months. The biggest probem withmy Quad 400has been the scope attachment to the stock. It is not a good way of mounting a scope and i've had to re-zero itmany times. Killed several hogs and deer with it and then put it in the attic as a back-up. Now hunt with a Barnett Revolution XS that i bought cheap. This is a very good crossbow in every respect.

I called Barnett today and talked to their R&D man tolet them know alot of shooters were concerned about the Quad 400..and i was one of them...i asked if there was any recalls or updates in the limbsor theTrigger he said know he proceeded to ask what coloring letters were on my limbs i said white letters...he said he spoke with his Service man to find out if there was any problems with my year bow no....he said they did changethe limb design on them last year, but my'in was'nt included..cause appearly they were'nt having trouble with them....he then said only bows that were being sent back were guys that were dry firing them.....he also said the triggers were not being reset properly and guys were jamming them up and damaging them.....i proceeded to tell him...that i was happy with my xbow just concerned and i was thinking about selling it.....he said he'd buy it back from me....i laughed anyways...Barnett backs up their xbows and safety features ...and he said i should'nt have any concern about them xbow aslong as i take care of it properly....well i just thought i'd fill you in...unless i see pics of limbs on the ground and triggers falling apart ,i'll continue to shoot the Barnett Quad 400...If you wanna call Barnett and voice your opinion here it is.....ask for Jed...at1-800 2374507 this guys knows his Chit and does'nt Bs.......Honkers

So what is happening/happened to Barnett then?

I am in the UK and Barnett Euro website (www.barnettcrossbows-uk.com) is woefully out of date, the customer service number does not accept incoming calls and all emails bounce back.

Someone told me the closed down the whole production site they had here in the city of Wolverhampton but didn't know if they have gone bust or relocated.

Well i'm not sure why in the UK they hav'nt been answering your calls cause here in the states,i've called a few times and have talked on the Phone with The R&D man for an hour....and no Barnetts not folding up aleast not here in the USA...their service department hee have been great...i have nothing bad to say about them....Honkers
