Hip quiver

Any recomendations on a good one? I have been using the Groundpounder mount and realized the other day when I took it off how light (OK, not so heavy) the crossbow actually is..
I certainly don't need 4 arrows with me, but what ever is out there is fine.

RE: Hip quiver

I got a quiver on the the first two cross bows I had and did not like quiver on crossbow, not only does it add weight it screws up the balance and the way they sit on the x-bow they add bulk which makes necessary movement to aim much more visable to the deer.
I personally use two hip quivers one for field points and practice and one for 3 broad heads which is on the belt that I hang up while in the tree stand. Mine is 11yrs old and is a PSE King I do not consider it any thing special but it has given good service. Lee

Thanks Lee, balance isn't an issue for me, my quiver rides exactly over my barrel. Last night in my blind I realized that even when I detach the quiver from the mount I still have extra weight from the mounts.
I am trying to make room for the rangefinder mount as well.

Pydpiper, I use a cheap quiver (8.00) I got at Magic Mart for practice but it is hard to get thru the brush while hunting. This coming season I am going to fastensome velcro to my backpack and stick the quiver on the side and also put a velcro strap on the top of my quiver to hold the arrows.

RE: Hip quiver

I had an old leather target quiver....I still see them at sport shops for around $10 or close to it, complete with a little metal belt clip. I forced 2 thin wall plastic tubes into the quiver.....same length as the quiver....I then put a little bit of spounge at the bottom so my BH's wouldn't cut or get dull. Quick on quick off ....nice and light...no noise while walking thru the woods. I only carry 2 bolts with me .....thats enough.
