:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
No, you know that you got that one wrong, you Canadians tried to run our country once so we kicked your but and ran you to the worthless northern waste land!! You just burnt our white house down as you were running and crying on your way up! LOL!!:D:D

lol

I think there are some on hee that need a history lesson.

There was once a war between Britain and napolian. Britain installed a naval blockade on trade with napolian and his country and the US did not like that as well as some other things. At that point, the US declaired war against britain and Canada and attacked Canada:

The war started unsuccessfully for the Americans as their attempts to invade Canada were repeatedly repulsed.
If you check, at the end of the war, Britian held more of US territory then they started with, but gave it back t the orginal boundries beffore the war.

Again ......... you should lear to not mess with us Canadians, when our backs are put into a corner, we are usually very successful defending ourselves (history proves that more than once) :D:D:D

You must not have read the whole thing. Canadians always forget that they were starting to lose and were lucky we were willing to leave them alone in the far north. The last two paragraphs sums it up how it was going before we decided to show mercy and stop fighting!! They knew if they did not stop fighting and give back the land we would take that and more!!:D

The Americans destroyed the power of the native people of the Northwest and Southeast, thus securing a major war goal. With the defeat of Napoleon in 1814, British trade restrictions and impressment ended eliminating that root cause of the war. With stalemate on the battlefields, both nations agreed to a peace that left the prewar boundaries intact. Before Congress ratified the treaty, the Americans decisively defeated a veteran British army at the Battle of New Orleans.
The war had the effects of both uniting together Canadians and also uniting together Americans far more closely than either population had been prior to the war. Canadians remember the war as a victory by avoiding conquest by the Americans, while the Americans celebrated victory in a "second war for independence" personified in the hero of New Orleans, Andrew Jackson.
