Strings

Today I thought that seeing that I can make strings I should make myself something I haven't shot with my Exocet 200. So I made a fast flight flemish string and shot away. Holy jumpin. The noise off that string is quite sharp especially compared to dacron. It just a plain pleasure to shoot that sucker with dacron! Its like a 22 short compared to a HV 22 long rifle. You get a good crack out of the FFF.
Oh yeah something else. I got tired of ripping my hands when using the rope cocker so I used some duct tape and put around a 1/4" of the stuff where my hands pull back. Why don't these stupid things have handles????[&:]

RE: Strings

I force the hooks over the tube as well.. I find that when setting up brace height on a new string (which I happen to have a lot of now..;)) it keeps the hooks on the rope cocker for quick changes..
