Horton CD's
At one time the Horton crossbow CD's were floating around and available to be viewed and/or copied, are they still?

RE: Horton CD's
Are these commercially produced? I ask only because it might be wise to make copies and disperse them.. Get the originals back to the owner. I know nothing about making copies, from a legal standpoint.. I would think as long as they are not getting sold it should be fine.. Right?
I don't have them as of yet, but you are next in line moxie. |
RE: Horton CD's
I sent off both Horton xbow ones and don't need them back. I got Chron I at Mal-Wart last year, and won Chron II in the "name that critter" contest in fall issue of HBM. I'd be a little prouder of that glorious event if there would have been more than two entries, lol.

RE: Horton CD's
From a legal standpoint it is ILLEGAL to make duplicatesof DVD's without permission. I believe the fine is $250,000 and 5 years in prison?
Passing the DVD's around is fine, but please don't make copies of them. That hurts not only the companies profitsbut also the consumer's pocket book. |
RE: Horton CD's

If the tenpoint dvd is still out there, it was mine at first, just so ya know:) i never did get to watch horton #2, it musta been added after i sent the dvd's on. I say, noone knows who made the copies, send them out[8D] |
RE: Horton CD's
I thought it was only illegal if you were selling the copies for profit? Also, I would bet Horton would like to see these advertising CD's in as many hands as they can get it to. Either way, I didn't get copies.
There are 3 CD's in this pass around, the Ten Point owners manual, which has awesome hunting clips on it.. And Crossbow chronicals 1 and 2. Never a dull moment.. They are going out tomorrow.. Thanks guys! |
RE: Horton CD's
Ryanaller is right it is morally wrong to copy anything for distribution. It prevents the people and creators of the media etc from making money that they deserve and does not encourage them to make more. It is however ok and your right to make ONE back-up copy. Hint, hint, wink, wink, say no more. I doubt that any manufacturer would care much if one back-up copy was viewed by someone other than the owner but this sort of thing should be kept low key.

You're all good men and you make me laugh! Now where is that IT list?

RE: Horton CD's
I guess I came across a little Debbi Downer. My reasoning for pointing this out is because this forum is public, and if someone wanted to start a stink about copying dvd's it wouldn't be difficult to find out who did it. If you are inclined to copy don't broadcast it over the internet on a public forum.
If you want to see some crossbow hunting "Safari Hunter's Journal" on the versus network shows some occasional hunts. I said this in an earlier post, but it fits here as well. |
