Help with a crossbow..

I was at my Father in Laws today to show him something.. And I stumbled across an old crossbow in his basement.. There are a couple small issues with it, there is no string, and the scope mount is broken..
Does anyone know anything of this thing, it is a "Crisbow MK III"
Looks like a pretty decent old crossbow.. If we can get this thing back up to specs I just may have a new hunting buddy..:D

So, How does one go about determining string length? It is a carved tip (feels like steel, but I don't know..)
Where would I start looking for parts, that scope mount needs replacing.

RE: Help with a crossbow..

Thanks Reb, I found that when I Googled it.. Seems to be the only chunk of info out there on it..
Fortunately the owner of it is quite capable and equippedto reproduce any defective parts, but a purchase would be better for his schedule.
The person he acquired it from was quitea gun fanatic, so I can only assume that in it's day it was a good piece of equipment.. Probably still is.
I would really like to dig up more info, he would be just fine with a peep site, which it has, but that still leaves the string issue up in the air..

The oddity is that it is a lefty, it has a thumb hole.. I will snag a picture if he feels that is appropriate..

By the way, did you just call me Pee Pee?:D
