End the last serving with a square knot (one knot onto the other).

Last is to tighten the snot out of the last knot, gently cut with a razor a tag end that you burn. As the tag end burns and the molten serving material reached the knot you wet your finger and push down into the knot to make sure the last knot doesn't come loose. Same for the other tag end and thats it. you can see the completed servings beside the rail. The rope cocker hooks cannot slip past it.
Henry, I hope you understand all this. If not let me know. I have found that I cannot make a mistake with this set up. I never have to adjust the string once it is cocked.

Thanks for the info Don, I understand how to do it,, I was just picturing somthig a lot different when you first described this.. and wondered how it worked and was done now I know,, will have to give it a try.

Henry, everyone here should buy some simple single material serving. It has so many uses. When my serving wants to separate I put a serving or two between the wraps so take up the space that would other wise expose the string material. Makes the serving last longer. Some times from brand new you can separate the serving with your finger nails and so I just put a serving in and it lasts longer. It is also a much better way to put cat whiskers on(they will be more affective and stay on longer).
