A lady where I work got the top of her thumb a little high,she said she wont do that again,OUCH!

well at least I dont feel so dumb. Tore a section of my thumb off shortly after purchasing my crossbow. Won't happen again, I added a piece of 1/2" x 3/4" aluminum angle to each side. To get ones hand over that obstruction you need Loonngg fingers. And yes I did mine while kneeling down. Sorry to hear about your friends finger...

Well, his thumb is healing up ok, but he will be missing about an 1/8th of the meat on the outer side. And only time will tell if his thumb nail grows completely back or if he has a void there. It was so bad the he has been taking vicodene each day since it happened to easy the throbing.

Count me in the sore thumb club.I barely nicked it and it turned blue.Man that hurt! Not something that people will need to do twice to remember. Hope your friend recovers well.
