Congrats on the deer! I'm glad you found him!

My hunting buddy was joking about likeing the gut shot. If you can get out of the woods without pushing the deer, then just come back the next morning and pick em up. He was joking of course, but a gut shot can be easily found if we don't mess it up by pushing the deer.

The key is to error on the side of caution.
