ARROW PROBLEM!

Am shooting the carbons that came with my xbow, cannot hardly pull them
out of the target. Are alum.arrows easier to pull out of the block these
seemed to melt into the block, also which is the best target to use as far
as pulling the arrows out?

RE: ARROW PROBLEM!

You are probably shooting into a block style target. Bag targets are easier on the arrows and easier on you pulling them out.

I would highly reccomend a bag target also. I shoot a bag target that i bought from Wal Mart for $25.00. I've shot it with everything from devestaters to 200lb hortons and have not had any problems. The bolts only penetrate halfway at most and are removed extremely easy. You can pick the target up and turn it upside down and the bolts will practicaly fall out. After about 10 or so shots the stuffing starts changing shape inside the bag and has to be stomped back flat to avoid passthroughs, but its well worth it not having to fight the arrows to get them out. I've been shooting the same one for about 5 or 6 years and its just now time to replace it.

coyote, get yerself 2 burlap sacks. Put old rags and unwanted clothing into it. Put one bag inside the other and fill it up. Take off buttons and zippers. Make the best bag target fer field tips u can't buy! I use a 3-D deer fer B'Heads, but i am changing to that Aimright Bear! Oh yeah make sure to whip stitch bag closed.:D

RE: ARROW PROBLEM!

The McKenzie aimright bear, its a black bear that is 45" long and28" high makes a good B'Head practice target. Now i start with B'Heads about 3 weeks prior to my going hunting. It will last several years.
