ONE MORE QUESTION...YOU GUYS ARE GREAT ...THANKS AGAIN FOR THE HELP

I am going to go out today and try shooting some...I am leaning towards EXCALIBUR now after all I read about them, but I know I need to shoot them...I did see on bass pro shops web...they have a HORTON SUMMITT package for $279.98...thats about $200 cheaper than the EXCALIBUR and the PARKER...I am on a tight budget and $200 cheaper would help alot, but is it a good bow or junk...says its 150lb pull 260 fps...it is a HORTON,but is it the bottom nd model...I know I need to shoot it,but if it shoots ok ...should I go with it ...or is it gonna fall apart on me or will I have to re-sight it in every 2 or 3 shoots....$279.98 sounds mighty good if it will get thr job done

AS you said it is the lower end of the horton line. You will kill deer and be able to make tight groups with it. But I think it is low enough to not have the talon light trigger. So you may be unhappy with the trigger pull. Just try and shoot all of them before you buy. Each bow feels different to every guy. Will it fall apart? I doubt it. just keep quick service in mind. You can get it with horton, and I hear excal has a guy here in ohio that has everything and always uses next day air mail. Good luck!

Danny, if that CB is in your price range and you like the way it feels and shoots, grab it. I don't understand all this hype about trigger pull, but if a CB shoots accurately what's the diff? JMHO:D

Hey Dan, wal-mart has 2 of the Hortons. Summit outfit about $250 and Explorer HD fer around $290 they should have all but B'Heads. Wal-mart also has the PSE Copperhead here fer $250 outfit. They will all kill deer if u do yer part, and do it out to 30-35 yds. Hey get those wheels rolling bub!:D

Its hard to shoot a CB accuarately at thirty yards when you pull on the trigger so hard you catch your self leaning back some! All of the hortons are pretty good, but I shot a ten point once that I thought I was going to have to put a wench on it!

If i had to have Horton CB outfit and could afford it. I would get the Legend HD 175 very nice CB. Excal Phoenix and Vixens can be had between $ 300 - $360. Then u get what u must have arrows and B'heads a rope cocker is nice and a stringer fer $450 total.U wouldhave everythingu need to get thru this years deer season. Kill yerdeers and build on a quality CB outfit after i could afford it. Thats what i did with my Phoenix! [8D]

Do the search and you WILL find that Horton makes the best wheel bow! Look at this last poll that the tree rat did and you will see. Only five guys voted for ten point and none posted there to brag about it like the happy horton and excal guys did!

EDIT: forgot the link..... http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=1680701

OK y'all lets put our private CB buying thoughts aside. Lets play nicely as we will be alot. Danny said he could only afford so much $ so lets keep it reasonable fer him to obtain a New Bow and enough stuff to hunt with, please! Thank you kindly.[:-]

Early In: Thanks for winding Henry up, he was overdue, normally, that's my job, but had to leave town for a few days. He has the Cadillac of compound xbows, the 10 pt Pro-Elite. None better or safer, just some that are equal performance wise for less money. His has two safeties and a dry-fire inhibitor, but Excal warranties dry-fire limb damage, so it's kinda moot to me. We went thru this awhile back, he has more in that 10 pt than I do in two Excals, so watch this get his shorts in a wad, lol.

All much ado about nothing, if you can hit a paper plate at 30 yds, you will kill deer.

Oh no its still good i just took it off CB. My Tasco and Bushnell Banner 4x scopes up and died. Bushnell bought out tasco so they wouldn't warranty it and i could buy a new one fer same repair price. Same thing went on their own scope as it was out of date and 10 year warranty. Repair as much as new scope. I don't know if i want to buy another Bushnell. Of coarse i have Leupold and Kahles taste and a Simmons budget!:D
