RE: ASAT camo
Henry: Don't know diddly squat about ASAT. I do know what has worked for me for a long time, and at the risk of hi-jacking your thread, I'm gonna tell ya. Back in 1996, I had a now deceased bud that lived 7 miles from GanderMountain in Wilmot, Wi. Every Wednesday they had bargain day. He got me a pair of 6X coveralls, cotton and camo'ed, have no idea what the pattern or mfgr was. I got them cut down to 3X by a seamstress, and have used them ever since. Squirrels and deer. W/ the deer, I just showered and used spray products on my feet. Then, I played the wind. In all honesty, I took more deer w/ that set-up than I have my ground blind or tree stands. Imho, just get clean, and get out there. and pay attention to the wind/breeze. Dan

RE: ASAT camo
Ditto Dan. I bought a pair of bibs and a light weight jacket from a local department store about three years ago. I think they are real tree print but not sure. I never get carried away with all the scent lock stuff and going over board. I just get up high and try to play the wind if it is in my favor that day.

Hotburn: You rascal, you did use it for a signature!! I thought you were going to use the original EXCAL brand when I gave you my permission. Expect a call from my attys: Flipem, Stickem, and Tripemup.

RE: ASAT camo
Hotburn: You do realize hiring an atty is kinda like siccing your dog on somebody; it's hard to get them to just bite a little bit!!

RE: ASAT camo
Dan you should hire Dowe Cheatem & How they are real good on these type cases.. LOL

RE: ASAT camo
PM buckeybuckhntr.... You'll find him hanging out all the time in the bowhunting forum; he's been an ASAT dealer for a long time, and he's one of our own!

RE: ASAT camo
Greg, very nice of you to drop by and hand over some info! Looks like you are wearing ASAT in your avatar. Is that what you use and for hunting what game? I ask because ASAT seems to catch the eye of geese but works on everything else.

RE: ASAT camo
If you have any questions about the camo just send me a PM and I will get them answered for you.

RE: ASAT camo
Dnk, thanks... appreciate the welcome!
Actually, that's Predator Fall Gray... my camo pattern of choice. ASAT is probably what I would use if I were hunting cut corn fields and lying out in the open and trying to blend in... Since most of my hunting comes from a treestand where chances of being "skylighted" are very real, I haven't found anything that obliterates the human outline like Fall Gray does... ASAT confuses the eye; Fall Gray obliterates the outline. |
RE: ASAT camo
I tried to reply to your PM about your ASAT questionsbut you PM box is full.

RE: ASAT camo
ASAT is not the best a man can get ...my 2 cents

RE: ASAT camo
Just a little tid-bit. I happened to meet Rob, I forget his last name, the owner of ASAT camo last year while hunting the Edmonton Bow Zone in Alberta and he's a real nice guy. He was hunting with the same outfitter(hope I didn't say a bad word). He is a REAL SERIOUS whitetail hunter and has some great bucks to show for it.
I do like ASAT camo but I prefer Skylines Horizon pattern for tree stand hunting, for obvious reasons and late season, leaf drop or snow conditions.;)Again, just IMHO.:D |
RE: ASAT camo
This site is giving me fits trying to post! I want to get a set of the Predator Fall gray camo. I like the way it blends in and those light color tones.[:-]
