Deer Hunting

OK just how many of y'all gonna bust the first deer that walks out by you? I knowed if its a Doe its freezer meat no doubt about it. The Bucks i have to be careful wid ,the contest rules. I have to cull any Buck that doesn't make the land owners quality Management program. Talking about big bodied Bucks wid messed up little racks, bad genetics. That puts me either letting it go and hope i can get it after i have taken a shooter. Or take it and not have a chance at winning contest! Bummer![&o][:o][:-][8D]

I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do.[&:] In Northwest Ohio, you're permitted only 1 deer, unless you hunt the Toledo Urban Zone. I'm figuring I'll hold out for horns up here, and nail some slickheads down in Central and Southern Ohio. Unless I get permission to hunt in the urban zone, which I doubt.

I can take four total, any method, two of which can be bucks. I'm going for three does asap for meat, and due to contest, will wait to hunt the rut for a nice buck, can always slam another doe late. Besides, I have a hard time crawling around in these mntns for bucks. As everywhere, the big boys know what's up and take more effort than I got to give, LOL.

Well if I get a town permit for inside the city limits those don't count on my regular license, no limit on them except I don't shoot unless I am going to eat them. Other than that I am allowed 4 but only two from this zone then I have to hunt somewhere else. weired huh. Lee

Hey mitchmt 1, I see you're from Fredericksburg, Va. Is that close to Richmond, Va.? You know a big show is in Richmond the second week of August for hunters don't ya? I'll be there in my booth. Look me up. It will be the BuddyBo Products booth. We're doing the Buckmasters Expo this weekend in Greensboro, N.C. with the Buckmaster himself, Jackie Bushman. So far, it's a great show and we're doing really well in sales. Come see us in Richmond so I can meet ya.

I'm about an hour north of Richmond. I don't go to the city often, but might just go to the show. Thanks for the heads up I'll keep a lookout for the dates.

Well as usual I donno. Every year I tell myself that I will hold out and whaya know when the first deer comes out.... well I just can't help myself. Has anyone ever had a fawn or a button buck? This year I will try to hold back and maybe try looking away or take a picture or something. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.

Fawns wid spots ain't allowed here. When they lose them its ok, so ya have to keep yer eyes open and double check. The Doe's hereain't to big and the fawns will get almost their size just before season closes.[:-][:o]

No spots for me. Never saw spots here ever. I think our season starts in Oct but I usually don't start untill Nov. From a distance you can tell a fawn by the shape of its head. A yearling has more of a triangular shape and almost as big as a doe by Nov. I know its reverse thinking from what most think but I would rather wack a yearling over a doe because its better eating, less likely to survive the harsh winters, less likely to avoid predators and cars (young deer may still react to any danger by staying still even on the road).

Yes awshucks, it's www.buddybo.com
I make these products in my spare time and they are selling like hotcakes. We sold out at the Buckmasters Expo and hope I'll do the same in Virginia in two weeks from now at their show. Thanks for asking man.

PS. I have some killer products for Xbowers on the drawing board and hope to have them out next year. Automatic arrow return is one product I'm working on and that's all I can say about it. LOL.
