What bow do you shoot? As for broadheads, my vote would be Spitfires. We use them and recomend them here at TenPoint and have had great luck with them. Another good pick would be the Thunderhead. You have to tune them a little more then the Spitfires. Randy |

I use 100 grain Thunderheads on 20" Easton XX75 bolts out of a 180# recurve xbow , that's plenty for deer .

!0 Pt: I have some questions about 10 pt arrows, what weight do you folks advise, and are your nocks flat or "moon" type?
I am using Lii"s w/ brass inserts, 100 gr. Slick Tricks, 4" vanes weigh 431 gr. and 5" vanes about 10 gr. more. I like the fact that there is no tuning involved w/ ST's, just screw em on, check em and go. I've got 9 arrows w/ them on, and didn't have one hit out of a 2" target at 30 yds. Btw: In the latest issue of HBM put out by DJH of the ACF, he has an interesting article on the differences between bolts [6" long] and arrows. He seems to feel very strongly that we should refer to our arrows as such and not call them bolts. I think it has something to do with all archers shooting arrows, but am not sure. I am sure we're all archers!! |

Hey Randy, I took your advise on where tofind,and bought some 10 point bolts for my Elite QX4 Crossbow. I got 6 TenPoint Pro Elites. What will these bolts weigh with my Crimson Raptor broadheads, 100 grain? I have some Spitfires also but like the Raptors cause they just look deadly. LOL. Thanks man

You will be right around the 420-425 mark total arrow weight. I am not familiar with the crimson Raptor. I'll have to do some homework. Let us know how they work. Thanks, Randy |

Well we all shoot what we think is a great set up. How fast you want to shoot? Carbon's and alum. 2213's fit that profile. The alum. 2216 or 2219's are slower but pack more weight and energy fer penetration. Broadheads, there are at least 6 great one's out there. I shoot Muzzy 100gr. either 3 or 4 blade, i love'em! ;)
