Default RE: Cooking Turkey Under A Bucket

As Member of the Scout training team, I teach cooking to adult Leaders to take back to thier Troops. Cooking a turkey in a bucket has been around for about 15 yrs. We do not use a bucket, we use a garbage can (8 gal Size) that has had all the galvinized material burned off it. We normaly cook a 20 to 25# turkey for our demos (this takes about 2 - 2 1/2 hrs) . If you would like more info just email me and I'll send the details. Also if you would like more info on outdoor/dutch oven cooking I'd be glad to help.
