Jerky makes mouth sore

I opened some of my venison jerky from last year.It is vacuumed packed. The next few days after I aint it my tongue got sore. This happened twice.Whats wrong?????????? It taste great but makes my mouth sore

maybe it is too salty? just an option? i dont know for sure, you could send some my way and ill test it out and tell ya if it happens to me.

I was wondering if'n you were reacting to some of the preservatives/spices? I'm with Young Gun..................I'd be willing to try some and tell you what I think in the interest of science ! :)
