Pickled Heart anyone??

I thought id throw this up here for everyone to try if they like pickled bologna: get a large pickled bologna jug and eat all the bologna.

Next shoot a deer through the lungs without damaging heart.
Wash heart and cut in half.
Boil with some seasonings(whatever you like) i throw in a bay leaf, some season salt onion, celery and a little garlic.

slice heart and put into pickled bologna brine, add 1 habanero or 3 jalapenos, 4 bay leaves, and some diced up garlic if you like.

refrigerate for a month and start eating.

your gross!,, now if you were to say ,slice 1" thick roll it around in ritz cracker crums, fry it up put on kizer bun with mayo , i would need directions for supper! and you could have pickled cucumbers with it . but you do have an interesting use for something most people don't use.

I like deer heart lightly breaded and fried. The key is the same as liver...FRY IT HOT AND FAST!

If you cook organ meat too long, it'll get tougher than a shoe.

I don't know about pickled heart, but don't poo-poo fried heart just 'cause it's an organ. It really is very good.
