Second Opinion
 

Need a second opinion. Last night I hit a small doe going home from work, which at a glance looked like it had very little damage so I did what I had to and was able to take it home. However, once I got it home and dressed it out there was major damage to the stomach, intestines and all the lower end. I had the deer dressed, 1/4d, and meat washed within about 90 minutes from the time I hit it. As I was cutting the meat up, I cut back about a 1/4" from any of the meat that had come in contact with the spillage from the stomach and intestines. My gut tells me I should be ok to eat it, but am looking for some second opinions.

Smell the meat, if it smells ok you got the stomach contents washed off and you should be ok.

You should be fine. Got it cleaned, and even cut out the exposed meat it sounds like.

Should be good to go.

As OT said, your nose will let you know if there's an issue.
