We bought a 3/4 HP model from Lem products.Today they are selling for $450.00.
http://www.lemproducts.com/category/...-meat-grinders for many years I just used a hand crank model I got for around $5.00 at a flea market. Hooked a elecrtric drill to it and it did the job for a deer or two a year. We started buying a beef half from a farmer and a whole pig so we were grinding a lot more meat is why we went bigger. I also grind venison for friends these days. :D. Al |
I have a 3/4 hp LEM also. Great grinder for the past 20yrs. I think Cabelas branded products are still made by LEM for them.

I have the 1 HP Cabelas grinder and I bet you could grind up an elephant in it. Probably overkill and if I were doing it again I might get a 3/4 HP or 1/2 HP but would not go below that.

If your wife or mom have a Kitchen Aid Blender, there is a meat grinder attachment, saving the price of the power unit...

Cabelas Industrial line of meat grinders are amazing. I love mine! I have the 3/4 horse. My only tip is to buy the biggest one that you can afford.

Oh ya..... and I should also say..... as far as "breaking the bank"... They are pricy, but "buy once, Cry once"
I bought 1 new piece of quality equipment every season until I had everything I needed. It took a few years, but it was well worth it |
If you are looking to buy the best meat grinder then there are so many options for you.
