Anyone making "Deer Dogs"?

Gotcha! Seems like it would be cheaper to let the processor handle all that! I have the spices and meat, just not any of the other items to make them.

I make them all the time,grind the deer in 1/8" plate. I use Frisco's wiener spice and smoke on no more than a hour or less. If you want a little juicer deer dog add 1/4 pork. You can use natural or colagen casings, just your preference.

Thanks Zeak. We have the wiener mix it makes 25# of hot dogs or you could buy a couple large casings and make 1/2 hot dogs and the other half put in the large casing and make bologna.
