Yes, I cook before I strain.. you pretty much have to do that.. Not so sure on proper procedure for apples so I'll have to look into that once I get going.
I'm almost sure I'm going to go with the Cabela's machine.. how can I refuse after such glowing reviews everywhere. And one thing I really like is that it has steel gears.. not plastic junk.
