RE: Crows
I've hunted crows...and I've seen what some crows will eat. NO THANKS---LOL
I used to shoot lots of crows from my back porch. One day I shot a couple and left them lay. The next evening there was a crow eating...............you guessed it..............one of the crows I've shot. That's kinda wierd. I guess a bear will do the same, and I eat them...but still no thanks on crows. |
RE: Crows

RE: Crows
FatDave, neat site. The only crows over here are endangered, but the site makes me wonder about shooting mynah birds. Loud and obnoxious buggers they are.

RE: Crows
JoeA, you should go for those cattle egrets, the white ones, the one that follow you around while you cut your grass. There is no short supply of them. 4 years at K-Bay.

RE: Crows
I have eaten a lot of crow in my life,of both kinds.
yes crow is good eating. take the breast and slice it across the grain, rub with mustard, season with lawyers seasoning, salt and pepper, flour and fry lightly. as far as what they eat, have you ever saw what a chicken eats? I have also saw coons and squirells come out of dead animals. Fish eat dead stuff, maggots and worms!! all the worlds wildlife was put here to be eaten by us,the #1 preditor. fix it I'll try it!!!!!! maybe!! I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest remember keep your back to the sun, your knife sharp, and your powder dry. |

RE: Crows
ya soarkrebel,as a kid we did have to realy work to have supper.
I never ate crow untill about 6 or 7 years ago.I must admit I don't eat it regular. I saw a show a few years ago about crow hunting.it was in Ga.in the pecan groves.they say crows distroy 100 of 1000's of dollars of pecans a year. they have guided hunts for $125.00 a day,can you image $125.00 a day to shoot crows.they killed 25 to 30 crows that day and the guide cleaned the breast, seasoned them and put them on the grill till med well.thats when I tried some fried,it is gooood. the guide said a crow can count to three, they put three guys in a blind and shoot for a while, then two would leave, the crows would not come back, they were about 1/4 to 1/2 mile away in the pines.they put four guys in the blind and shot for a while and then three left and in a few min the crows were back. he said they couldn't count to four. sounds crazy but they did it several times and it worked each time. I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest remember keep your back to the sun, your knife sharp, and your powder dry. |
RE: Crows
A $125.00 TO SHOOT CROWS!!!!!!!!!! man some people have more money than sense! i am losing money. i would let them shoot them for say 75.00. i pay my lease payments but i get my moneys worth. i cut more than double my money paid in firewood. they let me cut trees up damaged from the ice storm or that have fallen over. A $125 TO SHOOT CROWS.....MAN!!!!!!!!
