Default Make Jerky Yourself?

How many of you guys make your own jerky?
What smoker do you use?
I make my own, have for 20 years or more. I use both a little chief, and a big chief. I now use pellets instead of chips. Please check out my video and let me know what you think. Feel free to leave comments there. please share it if you like it.

Homemade jerky is the way to go. I recently bought anice 3 tier non-stick oven jerky drying rack. If making it yourself sounds like a hassle, just do it in the oven. It comes out great.

I do my own. I have a six rack dehydrator and a teriyaki marinade that my wife makes. Comes out great.

I use my oven, it is the best jerky ive ever had. I also do my summer sausage in there too. From the last doe i shot i made 8 pounds of jerky. And did some experimenting with the summer sausage. Cut up little pieces of chedder cheese, and even some jalapenos.

Whats the texture like and how smoky are they with the pellets. We always cover the pellets with tin foil to prevent flare ups and keep the smoke rolling harder and longer. I also teach all of my customers to dry the product before smoking to help the smoke penetrate better into the meat. Great job on the video

I use these and they work good for oven drying.

I bought 2 a while back from amazon cause the shipping was free. Its just easier in the oven in my opinion. I like things simple, the dehydrators are ok but I like the oven method personally.
