Morrel Mushrooms

Found some morrels while out camping. When we went to cook them in some butter we discoverd we forgot to pack it. After digging around we found some cream of chicken soup, so we simmered them in that and served as a gravy over steak and potatos, it was to die for. Wasn't a big morrel fan until I had them this way, but now I am hooked. Try it sometime.

They do well in cream of mushroom or cream of celery too. Hell, they're good just about any way you can fix 'em! [8D]

My mom used to soak them in salt water overnight, dip them in a beaten egg, roll them in flour and fry them in a pan.......awesome!

That's how my late grandpas used to do theirs. Both would season their flour with salt, pepper, and a "secret seasoning" that they took to their graves. Oddly enough the finished productstasted almost exactly alike. :D
