RE: Wallmart gas smokers
Hey Tree Climber I not sure about the exact size because it is still in the box. But it is shaped like a rectangle and stands up, looks pretty big. Iam going to go take another look at it tonight. I will let you know about the size later. Thanks.

I prefer electric smokers. Very easy to use. I bought another one this year at Lowes for $60. Works great. Plug it in, fill water pan, throW hickory chips on the lava rocks and WALA.

When your smoking things like sausage, kielbasy, chicken roll, hot dogs etc. You have to monitor the temp. carefully and need a smoker with a thermostat. Also the temp shouldn' t rise above 165 degrees as the fat in the meat will turn to oil, drip out and the meat will become dry and crumbly, I don' t think a gas grill can be regulated close enough to produce a quality product. Just my pennies.

Does it give you the ability to use pecan wood in it? I have an all natural, 5 foot free standing smoker, use all pecan wood, and it is great for anything. So if you can burn wood in it, use pecan, makes a delicious flavor.
