Default Fried Deer Nuts ???

One of my disturbed hunting buddies said that you can eat deer nuts..

I thought he was yanking the chain alittle ;but , he acted serious about it. Is this true?? Any recipes out there??

Fried hog nuts are delicious, also known as rocky mountain oysters to us rednecks. They are like eating small tenderloin nuggets.

That is pretty grose. I wouldnt eat them but I know that you can.

Mountain oysters can be hog;calf;lamb or other.
Deer fries tast like lamb fries.

Recipe
Skin and slice long way into halves or quaters vdepending on size.
Soak overnight in salt water . Roll in seasoned flour with a little meal mixed in. Fry to golden and don't forget the milk gravey.
I like them for breakfast.
I have several friends who save for me.

Dipits...I will try this recipe and sneak it onsomebodys plate to get the feedback..Then I MIGHT try it myself..My hunting buddies always get drunk after the hunt so I may pull out a bowl full and tell them my wife made it for them..Nothing like a little humor at hunting camp..
