Wild Turkey taste?

Can't recall from my youth what it tastes like. I know it's all dark.
Planning for future hunting, 'cuz I won't kill what I won't eat.

Melly,

A turkey isn't all dark meat, the breast is a white meat and great eating. As a matter of fact, I cut the breast into finger strip size, flour and fry. The dark meat, on legs and thighs are striped off and I use that meat for dumplings. The wing meat is also good.

Try it, I think you'll like it.

Hmmm...Why did I think wild ones were dark?
*shrugs*

Funny when I think back to my youth. I've had bear, raccoon, venison, elk, moose, possum, squirrel, woodchuck, as well as every gamebird in NY, LOL.
My dad was a no waste kinda guy.
