Be sure to include something I call GORP (derives from Good-Old-Raisens-and-Peanuts, but there is more in it than these things). This is a mixture of granola, trail mix, and M&Ms. This tastes good to me at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, though I don't mean you would be happy if you ate these at every meal. A cup makes a good sized meal. This requires no cooking. It goes into the pack pretty easy. Find a good store that sells bulk items like granola. Experiment with different granolas and trailmixes until you find what you like.

COLD WEATHER? I STICK TO THE K.I.S.S. MEAL PLAN (KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID). YOU WANT WARM FILLING MEALS WITH GOOD NUTRITIONAL VALUES. I DO A WHOLE BUNCH OF HEARTY MEALS FROM BEEF OR VENISON STEW TO ROAST COOKED SLOWLY IN A DUTCH OVEN. I CAN HELP YOU OUT FURTHER IF YOU CONTACT ME THROUGH EMAIL....

CONTACT ME IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO MAKE SURE YOU INCORPORATE PLENTY OF CARBS IN YOUR MEAL PLANNING.

Makewhatever youcanahead of time so you can reheat it, such as lasagna, goulash, baked beans, whatever. Bring a whole bunch of breakfast sausage, hash, and eggs for breakfast and a ton of cold cuts and bread for sammiches. Just make sure you leave room for beverages.
Hopefully you'll bring a lot back because you have plenty of fresh backstraps to chow on. Good luck and good eatin. By the way, after a good deer camp, a visit to your cardiologist might be in order.
