Folks can't believe me when I say that Northern Pike, caught form a cold lake in the north, can be some unbelievable eating...right up there with walleye (pikerel to you!). I've found that pike in the 7-12 pound class when brought to the pan fresh and cold are without a doubt better eating than most folks would imagine.... it's the bones that puts 'em off ... but the 7-12 pounders have bones big enough to easily find and pull out if you know what you're looking for.
I'm getting hungry.
Ever fished Como Lake between Wawa and Chapleau? Closer to Chapleau I think..
