Cooking so I can hunt

My wife(also an excellent hunter) wishes to hear about some ways to prepare meals, so she can hunt and not spend all day in the kitchen. Ideas and?or recipes would be appreciated.

This is what we do, the group of 3 that I hunt with supply 2 meals each for the week, one is prepared ahead of time the other is prepared at camp. This is a sample of our menu.

Prepared ahead of time,
Roast turkey breast with gravy(lots left over for sandwiches)
Chili
Spaghetti sauce

Prepared at camp,
Steaks
Fish
ka-bobs
Plus the usual assortment of burgers and sausages.

Any recipe that uses a crock pot/slo cooker.

Put all of the goodies (browned meat, veggies, broth, wine, spices, etc.) in cooker at sunup, set the cooker to low/med & show up at sundown for an awsome meal.

Minimal effort with excellent results.

More people are Finally learning that a crockpot should be in every hunting cabin. Those are the best things to have when everyone wants to hunt.
