Damp,
Can I come visit your hunting camp during Thanksgiving week? I don't eat that good any time.Sounds like a fun time with all of those people.

When I was a teenager, I once made the mistake of asking my Mom why we don't eat at home aswell as we do at the deer camp. Needless to say, I had cereal for about a week after that.
I always say, if I ate as well as I do at Deer Camp, I'd weight 400 pounds!

Last year we cooked a whole tenderloin over a open fire. We always eat better at deer camp than we do at home. We came back from fishing down on the coast the first weekend of September and we made a giant pot of seafood gumbo. It's funny none of us ever cook at home but as soon as everybody gets into a camp they all pitch in and help cook.

You need to add this to your list or supprize them with it. Now dont turn up your nose till you try it becouse its great.
Onion pie. Sounds bad taste great
One thing dont tell them what is in it till they start asking.
Also a squash cake is great and you will swear that its not squash.
Trust me I was there and said the same thing.
Boy was I wrong

Friday nights are usually hamburgers on the grill, if we get there in time. On opening weekend Saturday night we cooked a beef tenderloin on the smoker, dutch oven potatos & onions, and a whole onion wrapped up in foil w/butter & garlic salt. 2nd weekend we had 1-1/4" ribeyes, baked potatos, and another onion. Ummmmmmm.
