Pickled eggs in a Mason Jar

Just thought I would post one of my hunting snack favorites - picked eggs in a Mason Jar.

- 9 Hardboil eggs
- pour vinegar into a pot, add 4 cayanne peppers - half an onion - a pinch of salt - and some Mrs. Dash seasoning salt ( and you can use your own additions at will).
- bring to a boil
- put peeled hardboiled eggs into quart mason jar and pour hot vinegar and other stuff into jar
- seal jar and put in fridge for three days or more

Makes a great take along snack for any hunting trip!

I once worked in a bar and when thepickeled pigs feet was all gone from the gal. jar on the bar. we would add boiled eggs to the pickled juice and let set for a few days and then put it back on the bar.

they were really good that was also.

Now now now ----- it really is a great snack in between those 1/2 mile hike trying to flush up a wily ringneck. It is really good at the end of a long day hunting with a little salt and a cold beer!

One of the best is pickled Quail eggs. They are bite sized and just perfect for a snack.

Take that pickeling recipe and add a cup of sugar and a can of whole beets including the juice when you add the peeled eggs! Man, it's wonderful!! :) (Colorful too!)
