hog bait
 
hey i know there was a thread on this a while back but what do you guys use for hog bait. i found some fresh sign today on a place i can hunt??

Loads of things. sour corn, regular corn, corn with jello. sour wheat, wheat with mollasis, corn with oil of anise, corn and hog wild. I usually dig a big hole with post hole diggers, as deep as I can and fill them with any one of the above. OR take a piece of 4 inch Pvc and drill holes in it just big enough to let corn fall through. Cap both ends, one permanent and the other with a screw cap. Mount a wire, chain, or rope to the perminate side, fill it with corn, anchor it to a tree, lay it on the ground, and let the hogs push it around to get the corn out. Cheap and easy feeder.;)

I did that with a 55 gallon drum and put corn in it and they love it I have it tide to a tree and they root it up all around it. also koolaid in a berry will attract them.
