I just got my first deer of the season i shot a doe i seen it on the other side of the woods on a alflfa field and there was 2 of them they were walking pretty fast so i kinda figured they were coming towards my stand 10 mins later i see nothing 5 mins later i hear somthin look around dont see nothing look again and there was one doe standing about 25 yards away she was in the soybean field she kept getting closer so at 10 yards when there was a branch that i drew back on so she woulded see me but she never turned so at 5 yards she turned just enofe so i could get a shot i was very dissapointed in the shot i made i hit the spine it was about 100lbs i have pics but i dont now how to put them on here so if somone could help me i would apprecate it thanks

Congrats neighbor!! I'm glad you got her , we all make bad shots and I admire your honesty!

Where are you hunting? I hunt the north side of the wolf river about a 1/4 mile past mac's landing.

Congrats on you deer. Do you have an account set up somewhere on the net to be able to upload pics to that is your first step if not then you first must do that and then we can help you from there.

Take a child hunting, for they are not only our future but also the future of hunting. Roy .

Way to go. Any retrived kill is a good hit. Practice those close in shots. They can be just as hard sometimes as those 25 to 35 yard shots.

Great job, I to admire your honesty on your shot. I kind of wonder if any of our elitest here would ever fess up to a bad shot.

Congrats on the first of the season. I like your confidence in noting that it's the "first" of many. We all mess up on shots from time to time, but you got the deer and that is what matters. Good job and good luck with the rest of the season.
