Heavy Heart (UPDATED)

A real good friend of mine, he actually owns the farm that I killed my first wall hanger buck off of, has leukemia and has been told that there's nothing that the doctors do for him. He's one of those guys that you could call in the middle of the night for help and he'd be there. The world is about to lose a good person.[X(]

I lost an Uncle to Cancer a few years back and deer camp hasnt been the same since. We all tell strories of his crazy encounters, he will never be forgoton. Just keep your hopes up dont forget to let him know how much he means to ya, I know its hard for a man to say to another man but it will make all this alittle easier on the both of ya.
Stay strong

A whole bunch of my old mentors and huntin' buddies have gone to the happy hunting grounds. You can't help but think about them on those quiet mornings or sitting around the campfire at night. I guess you could say they're all still with me, on every hunt. I'm a product of the experiences they shared with me and I'm eternally grateful for them.

I just wanted to give an update on my buddy, the doctors have given him roughly 1-2 weeks to live. Thanks for all of your prayers and please ask God to allow him to go as peaceful and painless as possible.

Sorry to hear about your buddy.

We never know what we have until it is gone.............just another reminder that we should be thankful for every day we have with loved ones.

Hopefully you can let him know how glad you are to have known him before he goes.

He has my prayers.

If he's got to go and you know when, maybe there's a way he wants it to be. If it's possible, see if you boys can send him off in style. We all have to go, but if there's a chance, I'd rather not go quietly. It's up to him and his family though.
